| TOUR OF APPLETON CREAMERY Saturday, December 1, 2007 Caitlin Hunter makes award-winning cheeses from goat, sheep and cow’s milk. On December 1 we will be making a road trip to her farm in Appleton, with the opportunity to taste and purchase some of her delicious products. After the visit, our trip will head to Belfast to visit several local stores, including the Good Table, one of Cheryl’s favorite cookware shops, The Clown, home of Italian specialties, and the Belfast Co-op. Lunch will be at Chase’s Daily, a fabulous restaurant featuring local Maine products and robust cuisine. Cost per person is $10. Lunch is dutch treat. Only 6 seats available in the vehicle. We depart at 9 AM and plan to return mid-afternoon. |
| HOLIDAY HORS D’OEUVRES Wednesday, December 5, 6:30 P.M. Join us as we prepare a collection of tapas, including Chicken Satays with Spicy Peanut Sauce, Warm Goat cheese and Maine Crab Dip, Greek Salad Skewers, and Bittersweet Chocolate and Hazelnut Fudge. These small feasts are perfect for relaxed holiday entertaining with friends and your favorite glass of bubbly. Class fee: $75 per person. |
| CLASSIC CHRISTMAS DESSERTS Thursday, December 13, 6:30 P.M. Delight your family and friends this holiday season with one of Cheryl’s favorite desserts like Buche de Noel, Gingerbread Roll with Orange Zest, or Chocolate Raspberry Swirl Cheesecake. Class fee: $75 per person. |
| GINGERBREAD COOKIES FOR CHILDREN This class is perfect for groups of children like brownies, cub scouts, and other groups of six or more. Cheryl will speak to the importance of good nutrition and review the food pyramid. Students will prepare and decorate festive and healthy gingerbread cookies. The class lasts about 1 ½ hours.
