Welcome Kindergarten Students!
Cheryl Wixson's Kitchen welcomes the Kindergarten classes at Vine Street School, as they visit the
kitchen, the rabbits, the gardens, and even the compost pile!  The field trip finishes with the

Culinary Students win Gold Medals!
Cheryl was a guest at the healthy dinner prepared by the Hancock County Technical Center Culinary
Arts students on March 21.  Over seventy people were treated to a seven course meal that featured
Fresh Spring Rolls, Tomato Quiche in Couscous crust, and Parsnip, Jicama and Apple Salad, all for
under 650 calories!  Executive Chef Brian Langley, head of the culinary program, showed  segments of
television spots taped by students at the Technical Center for the local cable television networks.
Three different chefs prepared all 10 of Cheryl's Lose and Win recipes.  They later entered this project
in a competition and walked away with gold medals!  Congratulations and great cooking!
